1939-45 Star Miniature

The 1939-45 War Medal was a campaign medal of the British Commonwealth, awarded for service in WW2. Awarded for service between 3rd September 1939 and 2nd September 1945. Awarded to all full-time members of the armed forces wherever their service was rendered provided it was of 28 days or more duration. In the Merchant Navy the requirement was that the 28 days should have been served at sea. Only one clasp can be worn on the ribbon even if more than one were awarded.
