Bust of Robert Burns made in British Gypsum Plaster.
As with all Famous Faces there are objects around the base. For this bust we have included Bagpipes, Plough, Ink well and quill, Book, Whiskey bottle, Candle holder, timorous beastie and Burn's Cottage.
The etch around the base reads -
"SHOULD AULD ACQUAINTANCES BE FORGOT AND NEVER BROUGHT TO MIND"
Widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, Robert Burns was a pioneer of the Romantic movement. His poem 'Auld Land Syne' is often sung at Hogmanay.
